The popularity of artificial leather skirts

I have recently noticed that more and more people, especially teenagers, wear Leather Skirts and other similar clothes. Most of them decide to wear artificial leather, to be precise. This trend is quite interesting. I am not talking about the fact of wearing black skirts. It"s quite popular not only among metal fans nowadays (like it used to be when I was younger). What I"m really talking about is the fact that these skirts are made of artificial leather: pleather, microfibre, or other types of fabrics that remind you or animal skin. Why are people buying such products? In the past, if you owned anything made of genuine leather, it was something you could boast of in front of your friends. But tendencies are changing now. People decide to purchase eco-friendly fabrics. They are simply more aware of all the harmful effects that the process of manufacturing some materials brings. What"s more, they are also making choices that will allow them to save money. That"s a fact, and there is no doubt about it. People are looking for ways to spend LESS today. They"re buying second-hand items or products made of artificial leather. This is one of the reasons why there"s a demand for fake leather skirts and other similar items.
